Imaginal ("we," "us," or "our") operates getimaginal.com and the Imaginal application (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have in relation to it.
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
A note on the nature of your data. The Imaginal Service is built around deeply personal information: your desires, your relationships, and your emotional situation. We treat this data with that weight in mind. We do not sell it, we do not display it in any admin panel, and we design our systems so that it is accessible only to you and the AI that serves you.
When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. This information is used to identify your account and communicate with you about your subscription.
The core of the Service is a private consultation and ongoing AI coaching relationship. During the consultation and all subsequent conversations, you may share:
All conversation data is stored to provide the personalized experience the Service is built around. Neville's ability to remember your situation across sessions depends on this storage. You may request deletion of this data at any time (see Your Rights below).
Subscription payments are processed by third-party payment processors (such as Stripe or RevenueCat). We do not store your credit card numbers, bank account information, or payment credentials. Payment processors have their own privacy policies governing the use of your financial information.
We may collect information about how you interact with the Service, including features used, session frequency, and general usage patterns. This information is used to improve the Service and is not linked to your personal consultation data.
We use your information solely to provide and improve the Service:
We do not use your personal consultation data for advertising, do not sell it to third parties, and do not use it to train AI models.
The AI responses in the Service are generated by Claude, an AI developed by Anthropic. When you send a message, your message and relevant context from your consultation profile are transmitted to Anthropic's API to generate a response. Anthropic processes this data in accordance with their own Privacy Policy. We use Anthropic's API in a manner that does not permit Anthropic to use your data to train their models.
Your account data and conversation history are stored in a Supabase (PostgreSQL) database. Supabase stores data with encryption at rest. Their privacy policy is available at supabase.com/privacy.
We use Voyage AI's embedding service to power semantic search within the Service. Text may be transmitted to Voyage AI for processing. Voyage AI's privacy policy is available on their website.
Your data is stored in a Supabase-hosted PostgreSQL database with encryption at rest. We implement security measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the data we store. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your consultation data is stored with row-level security so that only your account can access your data. Our administrative systems are designed so that individuals at Imaginal do not have routine access to individual users' personal consultation content.
We retain your account and conversation data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription and return to the free tier, your consultation data is retained so you can pick up where you left off if you reactivate. If you request deletion of your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or legitimate business purposes (such as records of financial transactions).
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these limited circumstances:
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR (European Union) or CCPA (California). Regardless of your location, we extend the following rights to all users:
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.
The Service is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
The Service may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to maintain your session and remember your preferences. You can control cookie behavior through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect your ability to use parts of the Service.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you by email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
